Think about this for a minute. The price of
gas is sky high. Gas pollutes the air. You have a busy life and
are short on time. Lawn services are expensive and you
sometimes don't even recognize the people showing up to your
house to cut your grass. Now what if you could take care of all
those problems with a single machine? Is it any wonder we love
our robot lawn mower.

below.......
Let's start with the conservation aspect. Some estimates say
lawn mowers cause about 5 percent of the pollution in our
country. That's a pretty astounding figure. If you have any
green in you, you know that you would love to find a way to cut
down on that figure.
But even if protecting the environment isn't your thing, the
price of gas will surely make you want to conserve fuel. It's
why more fuel efficient cars are selling better than ever. With
a robot lawn mower there's no need to drive to the local
station and fill up the container, then bring it home to fill
up the mower. Not only is it expensive, it's an added chore to
your day.
Now there's the maintenance factor as well. Every year we
used to have this bonding experience with our local lawn mower
service man. You know the one we're talking about. The one
where he empties your wallet over over $100 to service the
machine, change the oil and filters, and whatever else he does
to make sure our mower is running as well as it should. This is
not a knock on service guys. Ours did a fantastic job, but it
was an expensive job none the less.
As we had children, time became a premium. We simply didn't
have time to mow the yard every week. So we did what many good
American families do; we hired someone to do the job for us.
Yes it freed up some time, but again, it was costly. And
sometimes his helpers were unfamiliar. Yep, they were labor
pool workers. There's nothing wrong with that, but we like to
err on the side of caution. Especially since we were gone a
lot. We just didn't feel comfortable with strangers on our
property knowing we are out of town. Why invite trouble?
There's enough of it already waiting without our help.
That's when we saw an advertisement for a robot lawn mower.
Like you, we were skeptical. But as it turns out it was the
best investment we ever made. It did the job and it did it
well, without much maintenance at all. We don't even have to be
home. It's battery powered, so it does it's work, then returns
to the charging station by itself, loading up for when it is
programmed to go back to work.
We can now leave town without inviting a burglary. There's
no strangers hanging around our property (except maybe those
gawking at our machine) and our lawn looks great.
And what do we have to do? Virtually nothing. We program it
to run when we want, change the blades maybe once a year, and
put it in the shed during the excessivly cold winter months.
Since it's electric there's no gas or oil to burn and no
polution. It's quiet enough that we could even program it to
run during the night if we wanted to.
And it's cheap to run. We estimate it costs us less than $10
a year in electricity. We would spend that in a few weeks on
gas with our old mower.
The only drawback is what we already mentioned; the
neighborhood gawkers. But can you blame them? We gawked too
when we first got it. But the novelty has since worn off. To us
it like watching a microwave oven in action, just a regular
household appliance.
Granted the robot lawn mower won't but Toro or the
neighborhood lawn services out of business, but as it catches
on you'll surely be seeing more of them in your neighborhood.
Why don't you be the first and enjoy all the benefits?
